Cooper and I do a lot of hiking. For all that he’s a pipsqueak, he is a little trooper and has no problem physically doing the hikes, even the really hard ones.
The one issue he has is body temperature. He has to hike in a little parka, and when he gets wet he starts shaking uncontrollably while the bigger dogs are fine.
Yesterday he was literally scaling sheets of solid ice in freezing temperatures, so three-quarters of the way back down I took pity on his little shaking frame and shoved him infant-style into my outer fleece.
**Note**
Normally the photos on the blog are of good quality, given that I am a professional photographer and graphic designer by trade. This photo was taken with my iPhone by my hiking mate Amanda, at the end of eight and a half miles of solid ice, huge rocks, and freezing temperatures.
I guess what I’m saying is, forgive the quality (thanks, Amanda!) and enjoy the photo!

Cooper, being a smart little bugger, loves going to Dunkin’ Donuts because they always send him on his way with a Munchkin. As the Munchkin is already the size of his snout, we split it (I don’t want to pop his arteries…I get a lot of Dunkin’ Donuts), usually when we get back to the office.

Cooper likes to come along with me to just about anything I do or anywhere I go, and when I have to work he keeps an eye on the car. He gets really excited in the fall and spring since he can come along without me worrying about him frying or freezing to death.

Cooper camping out on his personal couch
Cooper, being the most senior employee under me at Visions by Carlene, enjoys his own office, and frequently takes some time to relax on his personal couch.
Actually, he loves to go into the side office – Melanie’s voice studio – and sit on the little couch she created out of old couch cushions and my old futon chair. We all know Cooper loves his Sneak Peek Attacks (Example A, Example B), and he gets a kick out of watching me work from a different room.
Devious, he is.

I was able to earn $150 this weekend just by happening to own a PA system for playing out. Ian went to his school’s “Senior Corn Roast” and discovered that the DJ who had agreed to entertain the kids had failed to show up due to a payment mix-up.
“My fiancée owns a speaker system, let me give her a call and see if she can bring it over.” And now I am $150 richer.
Note to fellow New Hampshites: I am happy to rent my PA system out to you for an excellent price. Should you find yourself in need, go to the “Contact” section and send me a message. Seriously, I’ve got bills to pay, rent from me.
At my office, we have a super nice postal worker named John who delivers lovely things like checks first thing in the morning.
Today, I was excitedly showing off my new business cards while John was there, and he asked me if he could see Cooper. I, being a quality mom, hoisted Cooper up and shoved him into John’s unprepared arms.
It was fine, though, because Cooper loves everyone, particularly the person who delivers the funds that allow Mommy to keep him in pretty red Coach dog collars.

Sophie made sure our new roommate Joe was settled in after the whirlwind move-in we did this weekend. She made herself comfortable on his bed, and even put on a tie to show how classy she is.
In short, she didn’t just dress up for Joe, she cross-dressed up for Joe.

Sophie dressed up for Joe. Unfortunately for him, she cross-dressed up.
