CarCoopMtnCooper and I do a lot of hiking.  For all that he’s a pipsqueak, he is a little trooper and has no problem physically doing the hikes, even the really hard ones.

The one issue he has is body temperature.  He has to hike in a little parka, and when he gets wet he starts shaking uncontrollably while the bigger dogs are fine.

Yesterday he was literally scaling sheets of solid ice in freezing temperatures, so three-quarters of the way back down I took pity on his little shaking frame and shoved him infant-style into my outer fleece.

**Note**

Normally the photos on the blog are of good quality, given that I am a professional photographer and graphic designer by trade.  This photo was taken with my iPhone by my hiking mate Amanda, at the end of eight and a half miles of solid ice, huge rocks, and freezing temperatures.

I guess what I’m saying is, forgive the quality (thanks, Amanda!) and enjoy the photo!
